There are two bundles of forces shaping the environment: natural and human ones. Cultural landscapes are predominantly the result of human activities. Probably the most serious influencing factor in the civilized world on modelling cultural landscapes is national and international legislation which, again, is the outcome of policies and ideologies, social, economical and cultural backgrounds.
